Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV) also known as Section 8

Currently, the Housing Choice Voucher wait list is CLOSED. The BHA only accepts applications for a few days each year due to the length of the waiting list. Continue checking this web site and the Herald Times for the announcement when applications will be taken. The wait list for applicants with current Section 8 applications is six months to one year, or longer. There are roughly 400 families and individuals on the wait list. Each month approximately 20-25 of those families receive new vouchers, which are open as a result of client turnover in the program.
