SEMAP Information

Annually, the BHA must complete a SEMAP (Section Eight Management Assessment Program) certification based on fourteen (14) Key Performance Indicators.

Based on the certification and PIC data, HUD will assign the BHA a rating.

The start of the fiscal year begins at the start of the year (October 1, for the BHA).

At the end of the fiscal year (September 30), the BHA is scored for the previous fiscal year. Below are the Key Performance Indicators and their point value:

At this time the BHA is not reporting on Indicator 14, however in the near future we will be required to do so.

Currently, there is a possible one hundred and thirty-five (135) points the BHA can attain.

For fiscal year 2006 we had one hundred and thirty (130) points; which translates to 96%.  A score of 90% or higher is required to achieve “high performer” status.
